Chuckie the Chocolate Lab - Lar-Par Surgery
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
Chuckie the Chocolate Lab will be 13 on July 12th. He is in perfect health except for his breathing. He has a condition called laryngeal paralysis, a common condition of middle to older aged dogs that involves loss of normal function of the larynx. This reduces his ability to breathe deeply and obstructs his airway. He has had this condition for at least 2 years, but it is progressive. Last week he went into distress and almost passed out. Laryngeal paralysis can be fatal if not treated. We went to see a specialist today (May 22nd) and he took a chest x-ray which looked great. They also took blood work. We have scheduled the surgery for next Thursday, May 28th, 2020.
The bill today to see the specialist was $746 and the surgery will cost at least $4000. We know not everyone has extra money right now, so please don't feel obligated to donate. Your well wishes, positive vibes, prayers, and whatever else you can throw our way is very appreciated. I will keep you posted on how he's doing after surgery next week and we appreciate anyone who is able to donate to help pay for his surgery. Chuckie loves you all very much!
Thank you so much!
Love,
