Chum Lee Mark Lundell Funeral Expenses

Our dear friend Chum Lee (Mark Lundell) passed away very suddenly on Sunday, February 4th. His family, his long-term partner, Shauntel, and the Minneapolis justice community are shocked and devastated.

We are planning a life celebration for family and community, and need assistance to pay for burial and life celebration services, as well as to assist Chum’s partner with medical and other expenses.

We would like to share some special words about Chum with you from

For Folks Who Didn’t know Chum:

“Chum was one of the most committed BRAPB members early on. He rode hard and was first to stop threats often. That happened a lot the first year after the murder of George Floyd.

More importantly, he loved even stronger and felt things deeply. He protected not only the protests but believed deeply in the movement for equity for all. Often we would pair up, and I knew he would protect me if things got bad.

He would have done that for anyone fighting for liberation. He sacrificed a lot showing up for others, and took care of his family the best he could. When I think of him, I hear him say, "I won't leave you alone," with a big goofy smile.”

We hope to give Chum a simple memorial that honors his memory and provides us all an opportunity to gather in fellowship.
