Chungus the cat

Hi, my name is Jose and I am raising money to help my brother and his girlfriend (Daniel & Natalie) to pay for their cat’s (Chungus) treatment.

On Sunday the 15th, Chungus collapsed and was rushed to the emergency vet. There was a blockage in his urethra causing him to be unable to pee. Unfortunately, the inability to expel the waste caused his kidneys to swell up and threaten his life. While at the vet the blockage was resolved and his kidneys started to go back to normal but some of his levels were still high such as potassium and calcium. As of January 18, 2023, he developed a UTI and a fever of 104.6 while hospitalized at the vet. He is able to go to the restroom normally but not he’s not eating and they have him on fluids.

The costs are not finalized but they expect it to be somewhere around the $7,000 range. Since it is ongoing, they have not provided a break down of the costs.

The timing is very bad as both Natalie and Daniel just recently became homeowners in December. Both worked very hard to save up for a down payment and to purchase essentials like a fridge, washer/dryer, etc. Any help would be appreciated to take a bit of burden of their shoulders.
