It is with great sorrow that we mourn the loss of our beloved John Tower Churchill, who passed away on June 26, 2016 after a courageous and inspirational battle with cancer.
Anyone who would like to celebrate John's life is welcome to join his family at a memorial service:
Saturday, July 9th at 1 PM
St. Bede's Episcopal Church
Menlo Park, CA.
Reception following in the church's Lehman Hall
Larger than life, with a smile that lit up any room he entered, John was best known to his parents as John T., to his friends as "Churchie", and to his family as "Under.” John was a storyteller with a quick, deadpan wit and long, loving memory of the best of times with family, friends, and work colleagues. He touched so many throughout the course of his short life – his dear friends on the North Shore, at the U of A, in SAE, in the film business in LA and New York, in the amazing Menlo Park and Little League communities, and at his wonderful job at Apple.
His final, not yet fully finished story, is that of his amazing children. John deeply loved his children – Freddy (13), Bobby (11) and Lucy (7). We cannot imagine the anguish they must feel at the loss of such a special father and role model. Thankfully, with Elizabeth's love and guidance they will carry on John's legacy.
With this legacy in mind, we announce the establishment of the “John Churchill Family Support Fund” to memorialize his life and support his family because of their tragic loss. In an effort to help Elizabeth manage their future, please consider a contribution to this fund to help support their lives and education in lieu of flowers or gifts.
By giving, we are helping John’s kids stay on course for a bright future. Thank you for your consideration and for the outpouring of your love and support of the Churchill family.
