Cicatricial (Scarring) Alopecia

Hello, my name is Desirae I’ve been diagnosed Cicatricial (Scarring) Alopecia. Scarring, or cicatricial alopecia, is an inflammatory condition that destroys hair follicles, causing scarring and permanent hair loss.

Damage can also stem from a trauma such as a burn, serious infection, or hereditary.

The inflammation can involve different types of cells, including lymphocytes, natural killer cells, or several cell types.

This autoimmune disease causes my scalp to severely burn, itch, tenderness and swelling.

I am unable to afford medical treatment because I currently have no insurance, because of this I have to pay out of pocket for medication, biopsy’s, and doctor visits.
