In August 2014, CICPO was founded to support ICPs all across Ontario as we made efforts to affect changes to Bill 10 (CCEYA). Since that time, CICPO has grown to more than 1600 members, has developed a relationship with the Ministry of Education, as well as maintaining a media presence.
As we move forward into the next phase of our Coalition's goals, we continue to maintain our communications with the MOE with a focus on creating a Cooperative Childcare Model, bringing licensing to our sector. Beyond that, we continue to support ICPs and Ontario families with a public awareness campaign regarding the complexities of Bill 10 and to provide a more accurate portrayal of Ontario's largest and most popular sector of childcare -
