CIF Rings for Downey HS Girls Swim
Donation protected
Not since 1975, has a Girls' Swim Team won a CIF championship at Downey High School, in Downey, California.
Winning such a difficult team title is exciting as 7 of the 11 swimmers who qualified with Division 4 qualifying CIF swim times are freshmen.
Many parents do not have the means to purchase this significant ring; starting this campaign will allow relatives, friends, community members, and swimming fans to be a part of this momentous recognition of the DHS Girls CIF Swim Team.
Coach Sal Castro will design the ring and each of the 11 swimmers will have a part in personalizing their own ring.
The 2017 CIF team was as follows:
Nektaria Anagnostou - freshman, Nikoletta Anagnostou - freshman, Jania Gregorio - freshman, Maritza Ochoa - freshman, Marie Olmedo
- freshman, Michelle Prata - freshman, Giselle Reyes - senior, Valerie Vazquez - senior, Alejandra Villa - junior, Maria Visoso - freshman, and Noriah Zaragoza - sophomore.
