Cindy's APL (M3) Fight
Hello,
My name is Ashleigh. I want to first thank you all for taking the time to read about my mother's journey to remission. My mother, Cynthia Hartley was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, acute promyelocytic leukemia (M3) on January 24, 2017. She was treated by a great team of oncologists at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. During the time of her treatment, she endured several weeks of intense intravenous arsenic treatment and chemotherapy to send her disease into remission. This was a very difficult time for her, and she had many set backs throughout her treatment. Her will power, the outpouring support and prayers from friends and family, and the wonderful grace of God helped her perservere through this trying time. Graciously, the Lord blessed her on March 9th when she was released from the hospital in full remission. Eventhough the wonderful medical team at the hospital has suppressed this disease, there is still a long journey ahead with maintenance treatments to help keep the disease from coming back. She now faces great financial stress from the expensive medical bills to treat this awful condition. If anyone would be willing to bless her and my father with extra financial support, and help allieviate some of these costs we would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. May God bless each and every one of you for the love and support you have shown my mother throughout this time. Thank you for all you have done, and may your actions of kindness reflect on through eternity.
