Cindy Beck Kidney Transplant Recovery Fund

Hi, My name is Susan and I am fundraising for my friend and former piano teacher, Cindy Beck. Cindy is a single, homeschooling mom and self-employed piano teacher.

As some of you know, Cindy has been battling polycystic kidney disease, a hereditary condition, for some time now. She has been on dialysis since July. Her doctors told her that a transplant is recommended for her to regain some normalcy of life. So, she began a search for a kidney donor over a year ago. She now, after many months, has a living donor that has come forward to be evaluated and he was not only approved as a donor, but is a perfect match to her! Their surgery date is scheduled for February 1st.

While we don’t know how long her recovery will take, we are estimating 3 months. Being an independent contractor, she doesn’t have the benefit of paid time off or sick leave. Please consider helping her if you are able. Donations will largely go toward lost wages but also toward unforeseen medical expenses and insurance deductibles. Any amount will help relieve financial stress during her recovery time. We would also appreciate your sharing this site in your social media or emailing it to any friends that may not use social media.
