Cindy Kolodziej’s Funeral Fund

Please help get my mother-in-law situated to have a front row seat at her son’s and my wedding!

To Cindy, the woman I was close to calling my mother-in-law,

Your 2+ year battle with colon cancer taught us so much. You demonstrated that love will always win. That you can love even when you're in pain. And to simply never stop spreading LOVE! You taught us that real strength isn't external… it's internal.

I need to get this off my chest and tell you about a story of a time I met the person that will bring me forever happiness. About 5.5 years ago, I met this man who was a momma’s boy - like total ‘red flag’ momma’s boy. We began to blossom into a beautiful relationship. He was sensitive but immensely strong and somehow did a damn good Stewie from Family Guy impression. As our relationship grew, I met his mom for the first time and I didn’t understand the power behind feeling welcomed into a family until then. I was automatically one of her own.

Cindy, after meeting you and learning that you ran a daycare for forty years, it made everything click. I understood Alex to his core. Seeing how he was raised allowed me to see why he thinks the way he does and why the heck he’s so dang patient. It’s because you instilled those morals in him!!! Being a part of your family is something I didn’t know I needed and a BLESSING at that. Your family has such a special dynamic and you were, and still are, the heartbeat to it.

I can promise you that I will love your son through any adversity. I promise to make a conscious effort to exude love like you, and to never stop spreading it. WE LOVE YOU, CINDY! You will forever remain alive in our hearts. May God grant you a peaceful rest, you angel you!
