Cindy Owens Memorial Fund

It is with great sadness that we post about the sudden loss of Cindy Owens. Cindy has battled Juvenile Diabetes most of her life. Sadly, she lost her battle today. Because of her illness, she was not able to obtain life insurance.

Cindy was a giver to many. Everyone in our community will remember Cindy for her passion for helping others. She had a love for her pets. Cindy will always be remembered for her kind heart. We can all write so many stories about Cindy because she touched so many lives. Cindy was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and best friend to many. She loved all of her family and friends with all of her heart. I have witnessed on several occasions Cindy helping strangers. I am positive many can say the same. She never wanted anyone to be without. Cindy worked as a Paraprofessional at Woodridge Local Schools for over 14 years. She would talk daily about how much she enjoyed her job and loved her students. Her devotion to her students never went unnoticed.

Cindy was a second mom to many. Her children's friends often came to their house Some friends came and ended up staying for months… . Her son Josh jokingly said they came to see her, not them.

Cindy devoted her life to her children, twins Jeremy and Josh, Brennan and Christian, all Woodridge graduates. She always wanted a daughter instead she was blessed with four beautiful daughter n laws, Sarah, Courtney, Victoria and Ashley.

Cindy’s light of her life was her grandchildren. First born Lydia was the apple of Gigi’s eye. She named her “Gigi” and Cindy often said that Lydia made her a Gigi. Lydia quickly learned to share her Gigi as 5 other grandchildren quickly arrived. Evelyn, Theodore, Magdalena, Braxton, Kit and Cindy was going to be blessed in 2023 with another precious miracle, another grandson.

Cindy's family needs help to lessen the financial burden of funeral expenses. Please consider a donation.

All proceeds will go directly to Cindy's husband, Rick, to help lessen the heartbreak of losing his wife and best friend. Rick should be able to focus on healing and not be stressed or overwhelmed with anything else. Rick has always stood right by Cindy’s side.

Please feel free to share a memory you may have of Cindy.

Thank you for any donation, and please feel free to share.

Finally, Cindy was an organ donor. Funeral Arrangements are being planned around that and the family will post the arrangements once they are finalized.

Cindy will be loved forever.
