Cindy Fowler Pope Cancer Fund

Cindy Pope has been fighting an uphill battle with Melanoma for the last two years. This is also the second time in just ten years. She was diagnosed with stage IV Melanoma in 2008. After twenty treatments and two surgeries, by the grace of our wonderful God, she won that round with cancer. Unfortunately, in 2016, it came back for round two. The melanoma had metastasized to her lungs in the form of several nodules over both her lungs. She began immunotherapy treatment in December 2016. Little did we know, these treatments would lead to even more problems for our precious Cindy. She was only able to receive two treatments for her cancer due to serious complications and damage to her heart from the treatment drugs. We’ve recently learned that the cancer has metastasized to multiple places in her body. It has become incredibly aggressive very quickly. She begins chemo on January 10. There are sometimes multiple trips a week to Birmingham, hospital stays, gas, food, time off off work for family members, and other expenses not covered by insurance that add up to large amounts very quickly. The last thing we want her to do is worry about finances.
