Cindy, mother of 3 kids, grandmother of 1 two year old, had been suddenly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this May. She had been experiencing indigestion and when the pain worsened to a new level, she went to the emergency room-- one thing led to another and she was told they found a tumor in her pancreas and the cancer had spread to the liver.
When my mother was diagnosed, she applied for disability because she no longer was able to work with traveling to Seattle for chemotherapy and its effects. The disability has still yet to kick in and even when it does, it'll only be a portion of what mom used to be earning.
Family and friend have been so incredibly supportive with helpfulness, listening ears, prayers, and encouraging words-- really that is more than we could ever ask for. However, some have expressed the desire to give a little to put towards these medical bills. Since on caring bridge, the tributes go to the non-profit to keep the website going, it was suggested to use this website as it is trusted and recommeded by caring bridge. Again, absolutely not necessary to donate financially but if you do want to--here's the spot to do it for Cindy Maher. My parents aren't ones to really ask for donations, but I see the need and that is why I started this up to help with their medical bills.
Please keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming! Thank you for your support, your generosity is so greatly appreciated--words really can't express our heart going out to you for your help. We love you all.
