Cindy's Camino de Santiago Adventure

Cindy is going on a walk!

As many of you already know, my mom is planning on walking the Camino de Santiago in France and Spain this spring. This has been a dream of hers for at least a decade and she's finally making it a reality. Cindy's been training for this walk like it's her job for the last few months: taking miles-long walks every day in her weighted vest, combining cardio and strength training to up her endurance level, and learning Spanish. Whew! This walk won't be easy and it won't be fast, but I think we can all agree that she can do it.

As a lot of you can attest to, Cindy has spent the majority of her life helping other people, often to the detriment of taking care of herself. Volunteering for the Peace Corps in Africa, being a nurse for over thirty years, raising three kids, and currently being an on-call grandma to two spunky little girls are just some of the ways she's given to others. Let's do something that will help her finally do something for herself.
