Cindy's Healing Fund
Hello, everyone. My name is Helen, and I am writing on behalf of a good friend of mine, Cindy, and her beautiful family.
Cindy is a warrior and has temporarily fallen. She has suffered a spontaneous aneurysm burst in her brain, and was immediately taken to the hospital just a couple of days before Halloween, 2017. She is currently healing in the hospital in the the Fraser Valley, BC.
No one saw this coming. No one planned this to happen.
Cindy is one of the toughest people I know. I'd walk down any dark alley with her, any day. She is a wife and mama, and she is one of the fiercest, most vivacious people I know. She lives by a code of honor we read about in books. She is a strong advocate for what is right and wrong, and she is as fiery and feisty as her beautiful flaming hair.
Our Cindy is loyal, kind, and would drop everything to help a friend in need. Cindy loves her family, her husband and her beautiful daughter (who is a friend of my daughter's) with a fire that only some of us are lucky enough to possess. The life in her rages like any warrior, past or present. To have something like this happen to Cindy is beyond belief, really. I am still in shock and stunned.
She is so strong, and this hit us so hard. And yet, despite being in a coma-like state for a couple of days, she is now waking up again, slowly and surely. After multiple high-risk brain surgeries, she is pulling through. For some reason, those who know her would never have thought otherwise, because we know she is a fighter and we know she will pull through.
During this time, her husband Terrell, a kind, loyal, and compassionate man, will continue to work and keep the home as normal as possible for their growing girl, equally feisty and kind-hearted, just like her mother. He continues to work because Cindy can't. Over the last few months, this family has come through many hard times, trying to make it, and they've had setback after setback. Without going into personal details, I believe that this family needs a break.
It is our time to come together to help. With Cindy healing in the hospital from what will be a long journey of recovery, I am hoping that fellow warrior friends in our community can help by donating some dollars -- anything will help -- so that this family can continue to pay their bills, put food on the table, and still be there by her side as she continues to go through surgeries and rehabilitation. This money will be spent primarily on household bills, rent/mortgage, food, and previous debt that has collected from previous setbacks that Cindy and Terrell have been trying to get out of. These two are some of the most hardworking people I know, and this recovery will not be easy on them.
If anyone can break through, Cindy will. I am starting this campaign so that the family can concentrate on being by her side, alleviating a bit of that financial strain. They deserve it.
Thank you.
