Cindys Medical , Bill & Trip Fund

Feb 14th, 2017.  Cindy and I went to get all her test results back and we already new she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the second time.  We both assumed  the next steps would be scheduling chemo and possibly radiation. That was not the case. Cindy has both Breast Cancer and Bone Cancer. Yes - The bone scan also came back positive. There will be no Chemo or radiation. We all know that there is no cure for bone cancer at this time and although Cindy was not given a time line. This disease will take her life one day.

Cindy's treatment will be a single pill of Letrozole every day and she will also have a single injection once a month of either Xgeva or Zometa. ( Is what I had written down ) The injection will be done by the doctor monthly as we understand the injection is not applied in a vein. So something Cindy will not have to do on her own. The way the doctor explained this drug to us was Your renovating and you remove 5 walls , then you build three back up. So this drug cannot build the bone back 100% but will build it up 60% each time. With that all said - I believe Cindy is interested in anything NEW that comes out - Which could help her and others in the future.

I know this is all shocking and email is not a very nice way to hear. After yesterday I don't think anyway is nice. I booked a meeting this morning with TD Bank - Cindy's bank. Thinking of opening a "trust account". However the requirements , paperwork and all that is required is absolutely NUTS . - So I ask if interested only ( no obligation at all ) to send a small donation to assist Cindy Heatherly (Damboise).   

These funds will go towards

1. Medical coverage  as she doesn't have a 100% coverage for her medications
2.  Assist her with day to day expenses - Gas - bills

Lastly Cindy has never had a passport or been south - Cindy's parents spend the winter's in Florida - Obviously devastated with the news of their daughter. I would rather send Cindy to be with her parents - Then them rushing home. Nothing like Vitamin 'D" , warmth and being with family. Not to mention the Salt Water. Once we have Cindy's schedule and get her a passport- We could fly her down with her parents for 3 wks.

Cindy and I have been friend for about 27 years. When Cindy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer the first time. I raised money for her and her family by shaving my
head, On that day the support from friends and family was unbelievable and several others joined me by raising additional money by shaving their heads as well.
I must say it was a fun day considering the situation. Well she beat it - 10+ year's later . However this round is very different.

My plan is to keep you all posted as to where the funds will be allocated..  I can't promise their won't be a bottle of wine or two - At least in the early stages but I can tell you the funds will go  where required.   Another thing that Cindy needs to start looking into is  a Legal Will so that her family and kids are taken care of.
