Cindy Thomason passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of August 19, 2023. Due to complications of COPD, she was hospitalized a few months ago and unfortunately never fully recovered. She is survived by her beloved parents Dean and Mayra, her sons Jeremy and Josh, daughter-in-law Casey, and her granddaughter Ava. She was loved by many and had the biggest heart, especially for her family. She was everyones' Nana. She loved UNC Tarheels and her dogs Nico and Silas. She worked tirelessly to provide what she could for her family. She will be dearly missed by all.

Cindy's last request was to see that her family, especially Ava, would be taken care of. I would not feel right if I didn't ask our community. Any relief is appreciated with the utmost love and gratitude.

Donations will provide coverage for unpaid Dr. visits, funeral expenses, memorial costs, college tuition, and help for the family while they figure out where to go from here. The last year has given unexpected expenses that are exceedingly high.
