Cinny's Circle - Support for Josh Cinnamon Family

On April 22, 2021, Josh Cinnamon peacefully slipped away from this earth at 44 years of age, surrounded by his wife and his family. It was too soon.

In only mid-March, Josh had been happily cross-country skiing at Cypress Mountain in North Vancouver when he felt slight numbness on his left side. Over the following week he was admitted to the hospital where he was ambushed with a brain cancer diagnosis. As we all know Josh’s determination and work ethic, it’s no surprise that he was preparing for a fight and was determined to be an anomaly. His purpose and passion were his wife Amanda and his two young boys, Bennett and Deacon.

For the first time in his life, Josh’s willpower and drive were not able to overcome the challenge in front of him and he passed away prior to the start of his cancer treatment. While there is a huge void in the world due to his passing, one of the few bright lights in the weeks between his diagnosis and death was his opportunity to connect with family and friends and the precious time he was able to spend focused on his wife and sons. And now we are left with memories.

Josh was a proud and independent man. The man that many knew as “Cinny” was able to chart his own path through his tireless work, determination, and effort. He did not like to ask for help and never wanted anyone to be put out. He cared more for others than himself. And this is no different.

Josh’s two sons, ages 2 and 4, will be growing up without their father. And not just any father, but someone who was truly exceptional. So this is not a call for help. This is an opportunity for anyone who was close to Josh, learned from Josh, was inspired by Josh, laughed with Josh, and benefitted from being around Josh to repay his positive influence on your life by doing what you can to support a bright future for his boys. There’s nothing more we can do for Josh, but maybe we can help fill the void and make sure Josh’s boys are taken care of. All funds raised will go directly to Amanda, Bennett, and Deacon.
