Hannah Frilot Funeral Fund

Dear Ones,
This is Michelle, Hannah’s mama. I am sending this message to everyone who donated to or visited the Hannah Frilot Funeral Fund at www.gofundme.com/cipuds.
First, let me express my profound gratitude for your generosity. The $15,000. you raised for our family helped us pay for cremation and related costs, travel to the east coast, accommodations, shipping fees for Hannah’s belongings, and other expenses incurred while we were in Massachusetts away from work for a month. Without these donations, our family would have experienced a world of financial pain on top of the deepest emotional pain we’ve ever known. This money helped keep us afloat at a time when drowning seemed imminent. Thank you.
The other reason I’m writing is to let you know that we’ve raised the Hannah Frilot Funeral Fund goal to $21,000. If you are willing and able to help us reach this new fundraising goal, thank you again. In December, my husband Michael, my daughter Claire, and I will travel to India to scatter Hannah’s cremated ashes into the Ganges River, according to our spiritual tradition, and our priest will conduct Hannah’s final funeral rites. This additional money would pay for most of our airfare to India. If your heart moves you to make an additional donation to the Funeral Fund, we would be grateful for your extra support to help cover costs for this most sacred act, release, and farewell.
With all of my heartfelt gratitude and love,
Michelle

On Thursday, July 31st, 20-year-old Hannah Frilot was tragically struck and killed by a car. Hannah was entering her senior year at UMASS Amherst as an engineering major. Her proud mother, Michelle Frilot, is a beloved teacher at Copper Ridge and an important part of our school community. We want to raise money to cover funeral and associated expenses to help Michelle and her wonderful husband Michael to ease the financial burden. Our hearts go out to them and Hannah's beautiful sister, Claire. We love you, Frilots!!
