This page has been set up to help my dear friend, Rachel Nutting.

Rachel is one of the very best humans I have been given the gift of knowing. I'm not alone in that sentiment. So for those who don't know Rachel as well as the rest of us, let me tell you about her:

Beyond being funny and smart and enormously big-hearted, Rachel is fiercely loyal. She has fed and sheltered, comforted and consoled us. Rachel has listened to us, mourned and cried with us. She has celebrated, laughed and showed up for every success and held our hands through every failure. She has volunteered her time and energy for this community. All the while shouldering a heavier load than most people will ever know.

That's why this page is here. Because sometimes in life, you run out of steam. And resources. And what you want to give, just isn't there any more. And what you actually need for yourself isn't there either. We can't ever repay her for the endless hours she so willingly gave to us, and our children, but everyone knows the relief that a small chunk of change can give. Times have been hard. For all of us. My hope is that we will see this as an opportunity to show her and ourselves, what a village can do for one of its own.

If you have ever sought comfort over a cup of coffee from her hands, or a hug, or she's picked up that phone or showed up in person for you. Even if you've just "liked" something meaningful or funny she's posted, consider throwing in a few bucks. Let's show this small gesture of appreciation and thanks for everything she's done for us.
