Cirque du Soleil Volta - Yann Arnaud

Donation protected
*********All proceeds will go to Yann’s family*********

Update: I understand there is some hesitancy in donating to a third party. Gofundme has asked me to provide clarity on the following, so here you go:

Who you are: I am Rachel Threlkeld
Where you're from: I live in the Tampa Bay area (St. Petersburg, FL)
Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for: I attended the Volta show on Sat, Mar 17  and witnessed Yann's devastating fall; I do not know Yann or his family, but I have been working very hard to help. I saw a lot of people on social media pleading for a donation site, so instead of talking about it, I decided to start it and figure it out myself.
How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible): UPDATE: Instead of putting the funds in Yann's wife's name, I will be withdrawing the funds and will send them to Chris Phi (who is currently running a FB fundraiser on behalf of Yann's family). Right now the plan is to put this fund in Yann's wife's name (Inna Gorelova); since she is going through a difficult time, her friends do not want her to take this on right now; I plan to have this gofundme run for 30 days.
How you intend to get the funds to those in need: UPDATE: These funds will go to Chris Phi and he will ensure you donations go to Yann's family. I am in contact currently in contact with some of Yann's close friends (to include those who own CIRFIT.com, and one who is a good friend of Yann's wife). I left a message with Volta, but I have not received a call back. I was told they do their own thing and they will more than likely not set something like this up. So, Yann & Inna's friends have graciously offered their help.

For those of you who attended the show, and got to see the 2hrs of the 2hr and 15min show, I challenge you to take your refund and donate it to Yann's family.

A sad day for Yann Arnaud, his family, friends, fellow artists/athletes, and the Tampa audience who watched his incredible show, and sadly, his final moments. Although I did not know Yann, I was at the show where this tragedy occurred. Despite a sold out show, there was not a word spoken. An incredible athlete lay lifeless on one of the many stages to which we can only assume he dedicated his life. For Yann was warrior-like, strong and brave, flying over an audience in awe of his incredible talents.

This fund is intended to help console those who attended the show, who were affected by Yann, and who want to make a difference. The money was already spent, you got to see an incredible show, and that money, although it won’t replace a loved artist/athlete, will certainly help a family at a time in need. Yann gave his life to his audience through his talents, and we can only assume he died doing what he loved.
