Cisco Apprenticeship Fundraising Challenge

The Cisco Apprentice’s Fundraising Challenge

Over the next four weeks, the Cisco Apprentices are coming together in a fundraising challenge to raise money following the tragic explosion in Beirut. The aim and purpose of the challenge is to ensure a sufficient amount of money is raised for the British Red Cross to help those suffering after the devastating explosion. In addition to that, money will also be donated to Save the Children and WaterAid to help the work being done in Yemen, as the war there has left 11.3 million children in need of humanitarian assistance to survive and is ‘one of the worst humanitarian disasters of our time’, so we have to do our part to help.

It is especially important to raise money now because due to Covid-19, donations and volunteering have not been as accessible as usual and so the Cisco Apprentices are eager to be involved in helping.

After a week of brainstorming, each team came up with a plethora of ideas, ranging from: a sponsored 1320km walk and 25,000 calorie burn, Missing Maps sessions to map the places in the world where the most vulnerable people live, virtual bingo and quiz nights, litter picking and a 24-hour pool challenge live stream!

Any donations you can give, no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated and we thank you so much for your generosity. Please also share our GoFundMe with your fellow colleagues, friends and family to raise awareness on what the apprentices are doing. Thank you for your support!
