Parkinsons Elder Hospice Care and Memorial Service for Mom.

Donation protected
Update: My father is in home hospice since September 2024, after being in home rehab for a year. That was after an 8+ month hospital+ rehab stay. Recently we were going to refinance his house to cover the cost of care plus everything else thats more expensive than ever. Unfortunately, the accountant who was helping me figure out/ file my father's taxes (while he was inpatient and suffering multiple serious ailments, physically and mentally) well, the accountant cannot be reached and phones are disconnected. We needed to figure the tax issues before refinancing. I caretake 24/7 and household income doesnt keep up with cost of living. Im working on resolving the financial issue, while providing care for dad (and our 14yr old doggy) . Any help would go a long way. Thank you for reading.

The cover picture is of the last time my father put on his famous Santa suit (2017), in which he joyfully served for 20+ years at the Indian Lake Christmas Pancake Breakfast.
My name is John and I've been caring for my father, Dr. John C. PhD, who was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2021. Home hospice care requires 24 hour monitoring/ assistance. My father had to leave his office where he practiced Psychology counseling for 25 years, because he cannot walk anymore. He falls a lot, due to the blood pressure/ cognitive effects from Parkinsons. I need to install handrails for this problem, replace his bed with one that offers mobility assistance, cushion all structural corners that may cause serious injury, acquire a lift to raise my dad when he falls since he is 6'6" and 300lbs and has lost the strength/control in his arms and legs to help raise himself. We also need to look into new treatments and medications. My Mother, Janet Silver Whorf Cisco passed away, unexpectedly, March 31st 2020 from Covid Complications, just after it seemed she was victorious in her 2 years long fight against Cancer. My mom taught me the value of volunteer work at the FoodBank of NJ in Edison and after her Public Relations career ended, she worked or volunteered at Planned Parenthood, American Red Cross, Irish American Cultural Institute, Philharmonic Symphony of NJ, and so much more that i wish i could remember right now. She was the best of us and lived to help others. We weren't able to visit her during her final 3 weeks. Mom fell ill and went to Atlantic Health Morristown Hospital in early March 2020, but in the chaos of the emerging pandemic was sent to a Rehab facility prematurely, where treatment was ineffective and she spent her last days alone in a room. Knowing she was alone broke our hearts. After that, I cannot abandon my father, who also devoted his career to helping others. We still haven't healed or held a memorial service for her yet. If you knew her, you would know she deserves that and much more. I exhaust my funds on bills, feeding and caring for my father and our 12 yr old Golden Retriever, Sookie, over the last 4 years.
I have put this off for a long time, but I am unfortunately at a point that I would graciously ask for any help with funding for the memorial service + home modification/ care/ treatment (not covered by medicare) for my father's struggle with Parkinsons. We have all worked very hard our entire lives and would never had expected this situation...
