City Bus Driver Shot

On Monday July 22, 2019 around 12:45pm, my beloved mother was at work doing her job as she has done Monday thru Friday for over 18 years. She is a Charlotte Area Transit Systems (CATS) Bus Driver in Charlotte, NC.  My mom drove her bus into the Uptown Transportation Center to unload her passengers and just as the last person stepped off of her bus, a man appeared  out of nowhere and shot 5 times into her bus. All 5 shots struck my unsuspecting mother in her head, neck, shoulder, and ear. One bullet and bullet fragments are still lodged in her skull. 

Miraculously, my mom is still alive, conscious and making progress but she still has a long road to recovery.  She has already made it thru 4 lifesaving surgeries and is facing a few more. 

Her Worker's Compensation has been denied and bills are adding up. Any amount that you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
