Kendal Torchlight

For generations, the Kendal Torchlight Procession has been a beacon of light and community spirit in our town. It is part of our tradition and many of us can't imagine Kendal without it. Since 1970, Torchlight has brought us all together and made the streets alive whether watching or taking part.

Times are challenging across the board and as many events are, we are struggling for funds. Torchlight is Kendal's event and a small group of volunteers are working hard to keep this tradition alive for all of us and we need your help!

To run this year's event we need to meet a fundraising target of £10,000. We initially set this for the 31st July, but we are still a huge way from our target. We're having one big push to take us to the 31st of August as our final cut off date.

If everyone who attended Torchlight last year donated just £1, we would smash this target.

Your donation will help us cover the costs of organising the event, from lantern workshops and entertainment to safety equipment, and road closures.
