Trinity River Farm Flood Fund

Donation protected

I am Julie Amendola, owner of Trinity River Farm & Equestrian Center. My farm can be found at www.trinityriverfarmtx.com.  On November 27, 2015, our farm sustained massive flooding. Our horses were all saved, but we lost nearly our entire herd of prize Dwarf Nigerian Dairy goats and their young babies. Our equestrian operation, which involves horse boarding, training, lessons, and community events, is  at risk.  Funding will be used to rebuild and repair the facility, replace our lost hay and feed, and relocate quarters for our few remaining goats.  Additional quarters out of the flood waters need to be developed for our horses.  I personally have invested my entire life savings to provide this service to the community and have not taken a salary in the entire 10 years of operations. We also need legal and professional assistance to secure the cooperation and assistance of the City and other government agencies to find solutions to the flooding in our area which has dramatically increased in recent years.  The services that the Farm provides needs to be preserved for future generations.  Funds are needed immediately, although the projects will continue indefinitely.  I will be profoundly thankful for any help that will help our horses, livestock, and the facility survive this tragic event.
