Help Richard Studer Heal

My name is Tammy Studer and I have a story to tell. It started on June 26, 2018. That particular date will forever be in my mind as the day my world got turned completely upside down. At 2:15 pm central standard time, my husband Richard Lee Studer II called me to let me know that there had been an explosion at the jobsite he was working at for Lochridge priest. Looking back, I cannot imagine how he was able to call me. I did not know at the time but he had been critically injured. I guess it was about 2:30 pm when the EMT’s called me to say he was being care flighted to Parkland hospital in Dallas Texas. I being upset and unable to drive called a friend who was able to drive me to the hospital, when I got there I was not prepared for what I was about to see. Richard was badly burned, was on a ventilator and was fighting for his life. I did not know if he was going to make it. The last few weeks has been one of ups and downs, He is now on the road to recovery, he is walking, talking and eating. However, his life has been definitely changed by the explosion. We do not know at this time if he will ever be able to do perform the kind of work that he has done for the last two decades. His right and left arm are badly burned, as well as his right and left hand. He has 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his right and left hand. He has undergone 3 different surgeries to graft skin to his affected areas. He is having to learn how to walk and use his hands and arms again and is in tremendous pain. I as a wife am there with him every step of the way. He will have to have treatment for a number of months and maybe even years to come. We are not rich, and although workman's compensation is paying for the medical bills, we have other bills and daily living expenses that have to be met. I ask you to please think, what if it were my family member in this situation. So please if you cannot donate, please share this with your friends and family members.
