Help Claire beat cancer

Dear friends and family,

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts after receiving some of the most heart wrenching news we have ever received. Claire has been diagnosed with cancer.

Our niece, Claire Gladys is a beautiful, joyful, sassy little girl who has brought immense happiness to our lives since the day she was born. Her infectious laughter, strong personality, and endless energy has always been a source of inspiration for all of us. It breaks our hearts to see her innocent spirit now burdened by this cruel illness.

On Saturday July 22nd Claire was admitted to Children’s hospital in Minneapolis where they found a tumor pressing against her spinal cord. She went into surgery that Monday and Dr. Nagib was able to get more of the tumor then he expected to get. That Thursday is when we got the news that it was cancer, Ewings Sarcoma. Because it was not only in her spine, but also her lungs, it will be more difficult to treat. Claire will have a long road with 36 weeks of Chemo and Radiation ahead of her.

The financial burden associated with her medical expenses, ongoing treatment, and specialized care is overwhelming for everyone. This is going to be a long journey for the family, and all funds raised with help alleviate all of the burdens this journey will bring.
