Claire Eastwood's Community Defibrillator
Donation protected
My name is Steve and I am Claire’s fiancé.
After an operation to try and stabilise spinal damage in her neck, she suffered a few complications, but was home in time for Christmas.
We were shocked and devastated when she unexpectedly passed away on 4th Jan 2023 from a heart attack.
We discovered she was also fighting Covid, flu, anaemia, pneumonia, low blood pressure and a chest infection.
She was a fighter, but it was just too much and she quickly succumbed to the heart attack, dying in Blackburn hospital at 4:25pm.
In the hope that at least one person can be saved from a similar fate, I would love to have a community defibrillator installed in her local community, at The Arches café in Feniscowles, Blackburn, with a memorial plaque.
With the defibrillator, heated locking cabinet and installation, the total cost will be about £1500-2000 and will be bought through British Heart Foundation or Northwest Ambulance Service.
