Claire Lankford

Claire is a happy 5 year girl who loves to play with her dog "Princess", color, spend time with her Mama and Daddy and family members, play dress up and watch Scooby Doo and Princess movies. She was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma when she was 3 1/2. After enduring 42 weeks of chemotherapy, and 10 weeks of radiation, she received scans showing cancer was no longer present in July. Last month, we received news that she has 5 tumors in her lungs and lymphnods. The tumors are unable to be removed. Her father and I have chosen to celebrate each day with Claire realizing that their is no cure for her cancer. I want the world to know that this little girl was always excited to go to the hospital to see her "doctor friends" and never felt sorry for herself. The world has shown us a miracle! The miracle is that a little girl can smile through the most difficult of times and spread joy and that a community can come together and honor her. The world is a great place!
