Clare High School Building For a Better Future- Cambodia
Donation protected
Hi there! It takes a village they say and we're on a mission to make a difference in 2 villages very soon. Clare High School Cambodia team consisting of seven Yr 10 - 12 students (Alice McMurray, Billi Malycha, Lainey Mullighan, Issy Bammann, Poppy Wilson, Amayah Pudney and Bridie Maher) , 5 community adults (Dave Willson, Tania Matz, Jodie Mullighan, Julie and Neil Henson) and 2 teachers (Lea Hooper and Jacob Hayes) are heading back to Cambodia in December 2024 to help the people of Siem Reap particularly with the goal of building a school playground in Trei Nhoar Commune, Pouk District and a house through New Hope Cambodia (approximately 35km outside of Siem Reap)
Our volunteering as a school will provide a 6th home for the families associated with New Hope Cambodia NGO and our first playground built through the organisation 'Knowledge for a Future' NGO.
Poverty is still highly prevalent, and as a school we are so proud to be a part of change and able to continue in making improvements in the small way that we can as global citizens. As a team we have committed to raising $1000 each and your contribution would be greatly appreciated towards our goals.
The funds raised will be used to fully provide for our building projects.
The home building project is for a family of 6 who have been required to be displaced from the land near Angkor Wat Temple. We appreciate all donations to assist in reaching our project goal.
Thank you!
