Clarence Ray Kidney Care

Hi, my name is Maura VanBogaert and I’m fundraising for my 7 year old Golden Retriever, Clarence Ray.

I’m not exactly sure how to tell my story, or where to begin in attempting to articulate how much he means to me. Anyone who knows me, knows what a huge part of my life Clarence is. I got him as a puppy when I was a sophomore in high school and he has been my rock ever since. I am now on my last semester of college, and will graduate in December with a degree in biology with a biopsychology concentration. I’ve had more than my share of struggles from numerous surgeries, mental health struggles, and transferring colleges, and now when I’m reaching the first major milestone, the guy who has been by my side and kept me afloat needs help.

Clarence loves unconditionally and is the kindest soul I’ve ever had the opportunity to know and love. June 2022, Clarence was diagnosed with lymes disease and we soon found that it had already wreaked havoc on his kidneys. He has been in and out of vets and the animal hospital and since then, he was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. In order to lengthen his life and increase his quality of the time he has left, he needs special food, daily IV hydration, regular blood work and other testing, and numerous medications. I’m a working college student but there isn’t enough I can do to pay for all his bills.

I’m not asking for the world, just enough to help keep MY World alive and well.
