Paying Tribute to Clarence Waller Jr. "JR or Jay"

Hello.

My name is Stephanie Waller-Morris and JR is my brother.

On Thursday November 16th, 2023, Jay passed away at the young age of 39 due to diabetic complications and renal failure.

Professionally, Jay was known as the "cell phone guy," with over 20 years in extensive cellular technology knowledge and expertise gained during his career at Best Buy, Sprint, and T-Mobile. If you had any issue or concern with your phone, you knew exactly whom to call or go see - my brother JAY.

At first glance of Jay, you would encounter a 6'3 tall, stocky guy with an infectious smile. Soon you would come to know the kindest Gentle Giant, with the heartiest laugh, and enormous heart. His dedication to customer service left a lasting impact on friends, family, customers, coworkers, and those alike.

Well known in the gaming community as NS Overtime, Jay was an integral member of Team Insight, Respawn Podcast, and achieved accolades in Madden & Call of Duty. His enthusiasm for gaming was matched only by his love for his mother Elaine Waller and his loyalty as a diehard Redskins (Commanders) fan, cheering on his team through every season.

Unfortunately, as a result of the pandemic, Jr was laid off shortly before becoming seriously ill and passed away without life insurance or the financial means to support his medical costs and homegoing services.

Jay’s sudden departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him. He was the eldest son and the primary caregiver for our mother. Losing Jr., has left us all with a void in our heart and it's in these tough times that we ask for support from his family and friends.
