Houston is a city that Clarion Partners has made significant investments in on behalf of our clients. The firm has employees, partners, service providers and friends who all reside there.
We have all seen the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. The mayor of Houston has set up the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, running through the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Hopefully this grass roots charity will be able to efficiently funnel money where it is needed in Houston.
It is hard to believe that our relatively modest contributions could have a significant impact on providing relief. It is equally hard to know if the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund is the best vehicle to accept and apply those donations. Hopefully those concerns will not get in the way of you considering a contribution. Making such a contribution is a way for the employees of Clarion Partners to show our support to the city of Houston.
