“I’m driving today, so it’s going to be a good day!”

Those were Clark Howard’s last words before he unexpectedly and suddenly passed away moments later in the lot of DGT8, an Amazon Delivery station in Alpharetta, GA at the age of 46. Clark was the lead dispatcher and dedicated team member of Amazon Delivery Service Partner, Peterson Logistics.

Clark’s coworkers described him as a “mentor and friend to all”. He never just showed up to work, he arrived ready and willing to show up for each person on his team, and genuinely made the most of every situation. He effortlessly connected with people, and has left an unparalleled impact on anyone that had the opportunity to know him. Clark took pride in every aspect of his work, and truly dedicated himself to the success of the company.

At his memorial service, Clark’s oldest daughter, Libby, shared that her father, “had a superpower…It was his smile”. Truer words could not have been spoken, his notorious smile was captivating and virtually ceaseless.

Anyone who knew Clark also knew that he was a father to two beautiful girls, Libby (17) and Peyton (11). When he wasn’t working tirelessly to support them, he was making sure to spend quality time with them. They were the light of his life and his true joy. Everything that he did was for them, and if there is anything he would want on this earth, it would be to know that they were taken care of. 100% of donations to this fund will go to support them as they navigate life without their dad here to do so.

Hundreds of deliveries were delayed on Sunday, May 21st, but it was because on that day Clark made sure to remind us all that there are more important things in life: Cherishing every moment you have with the people that you love, appreciating every day to its fullest, and sharing a smile with the world.

The officiating pastor at his memorial stated, “When Clark said those last words, he could have never known what a good day that would really be for him”. Clark is now free of this world, may he rest in unwavering peace.
