CLASSROOMS RENOVATION FOR BUMBWINI - ZANZIBAR
Donation protected
Bumbwini is a village located in Zanzibar, which is unfortunately facing an academical crisis, since the schools don’t have the proper funding to provide the students with the best education that they deserve. We desperately urge you to donate.
Bumbwini Care Organisation (BUCO) is on a mission to aid schools that are challenged with health, educational and hygiene issues, such as Bumbwini Makoba.
The poor conditions of Makoba primary and secondary schools cause students to experience difficulties such as having them sit on dusty, uneven floors. The effects of this are so severe and can lead to problems such as arthritis, osteoporosis and other back-related injuries. If these problems are not resolved, Bumbwini Makoba will continue to suffer with hardship.
Another major issue that is impacting the primary and secondary schools of Makoba is the exposure of asbestos roofing in the classrooms. These vulnerable students and teachers are forced to lead a life in which they are confronted with the dangers of fibrotic lung disease and many other health problems.
If these challenges, along with many others, are not dealt with, future students and teachers may lead dreadful lives due to this hazardous case.
The donations that are acquired towards this project will provide 8,000 underprivileged children with a chance towards a better learning environment and a substantial education. For the cost of 177,291 USD, which is equivalent to 22 USD (20 EUR or 18 GBP) per child.
