Claudia's Radiation Treatment

Meet Claudia. She is a 27 year old mother from Honduras who was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer (papillary carcinoma). She underwent a surgery to completely remove her thyroid gland as well as the lymph nodes that the cancer had metastasized to. However, she is still needing a radiation treatment to give her the best possibility for remission. Unfortunately, Claudia's insurance doesn't cover the radiation treatment. She has to travel to El Salvador to hopefully be able to get the treatment at a cheaper cost. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated to give her the opportunity of proper health care and a chance to achieve full remission.

A little more about Claudia: She is the mother of 17 month old little boy. She recently graduated with her nursing degree and hopes to give back to her community through caring for and educating other patients. Claudia fills the room with light and love wherever she goes.

Se sometió a una cirugía para eliminar completamente la glándula tiroides y los ganglios linfáticos en los que el cáncer había hecho metástasis. Sin embargo, todavía necesita el tratamiento de radiación para darle la mejor posibilidad de recuperación. Desafortunadamente, el seguro de Claudia no cubre el tratamiento de radiación. Tiene que viajar a El Salvador para, con suerte, poder recibir el tratamiento a un costo más económico. Todas y cada una de las donaciones serían muy apreciadas para darle la oportunidad de recibir una atención médica adecuada y la posibilidad de lograr una recuperación completa.

Un poco más sobre Claudia: Es mamá de un pequeño de 17 meses. Recientemente se graduó con su título de enfermería y espera retribuir a su comunidad cuidando y educando a otros pacientes. Claudia llena la habitación de luz y amor allá donde va.
