Clay Mixer for Our Ceramics Classroom

Tax deductible
Please help Susan Grieder's Mark Twain ceramics class fund a clay mixer so she can remix scrap clay in the classroom, avoiding waste and saving thousands of dollars on clay in the process. This clay mixer is quite pricey, but it will ultimately save the school thousands of dollars and Susan a great deal of labor by allowing her to remix clay scraps so that the clay can be used again for the students to create beautiful art projects. For those interested, the mixer we are looking for is the Nidec Shimpo Pugmill available from Blick Art Supply.

Susan teaches 6, 7th and 8th grade ceramics at Mark Twain Middle School. This is a brand new program that just started last year. Susan is trying to start a whole new program with very antiquated equipment and bring art to students eager to get their hands dirty and start creating after never having had this opportunity.

In the classroom, Susan teaches our students all the different ceramic techniques from around the world and connects them to world history and culture. It's project-based learning at its best, and we hope you will help support her.
