Claygate Community Pool Everesting Challenge
As a parent of 2 kids at Claygate Primary School and a passionate swimmer, I am raising funds for the Claygate Community School, by attempting an Everesting Challenge.
The concept of Everesting is fiendishly simple: Pick any hill, anywhere in the world and complete repeats of it in a single activity until you climb 8,848m – the equivalent height of Mt Everest.
I will be attempting this on the 30th May on Hill View Road in Claygate, which will require c400 ascents, covering a total distance of over 300km, which should take around 20 hours.
Swimming is a life skill and one of the best forms of exercise for health, fitness and wellbeing for all ages. By supporting the transformation of the Claygate Primary School Pool into a Community Pool, extending the facilities, it will become a hub for community use and teaching swimming for our children all year round.
