Clean water for Asháninka communities in Peru

Hi, my name is James Stewart-Brown and I'm helping Mike Paul raise funds to help Ashaninka communities install clean water supplies themselves for their villages in the Peruvian jungle - £25 is enough to cover the set-up costs per person. Mike Paul has been visiting Asháninka of the Ene River basin in Peru for over four decades, through which he developed close connections with several remote communities.

Mike has been raising funds for this through a Crowdfunder appeal which finishes on 27th July which is why I have set this new appeal up to carry on from his one.

We’re raising and delivering money to fund setting up further clean water supplies in villages in the area around Tincareni (see film & map location links below).

Donations do not support incomes, travel or any other of our costs. We fund our visits ourselves, and visitors are encouraged to form bonds through traditional gift-giving. This form of assistance aligns with their reciprocity of exchange. All support is immensely appreciated by the communities. It enables them to continue living in their forest home, to maintain their livelihoods, their natural environment and their culture.
