Clean Water For Rayan and Mogli
Tax deductible
This is my son's nephew Rayan, who lives in Madagascar-one of 12 million children there, 80 percent of which do not have clean drinking water. What kind of water do your children drink?
The Jacquelyn Jestine Sanders Foundation is going to change that, with your help. Our first step goal is an operating water filtration system for 200 families, at a cost of $25.00 each.
For a $25 donation, you will be able to provide a household in Madagascar with a water filtration system, composed of:
-An easy to assemble and maintain water filtration unit,
-Necessary nozzle and membranes,
-Detailed diagrams and instructions in English and French for assembly and maintenance.
The gravity-fed setup is very simple and durable, made from easily available materials-water is filtered through stacked containers (5 gallon, for example) that have layers of gravel, sand, and activated charcoal.Available water is added and filtered through to nozzle, resulting in significantly cleaner water.
These can easily be maintained by simply changing the charcoal and other materials from the containers or buckets.
All of the materials needed are widely sourced locally, and are able to be assembled and used within minutes. Please consider donating, and improve the health and lives of a family in a significant way.
We are also currently assembling teams at Antananarivo University that are working on a rainwater / wastewater management project for them at the campus, that will have far reaching applications.
We are a boots on the ground charity, that emphasizes facilitation and teamwork.
Our Foundation Journal this spring will be focusing on our water initiatives, and we invite you to join us in making a real difference-
Let's get Ryan and the 12 million kids there some clean water.
