Help our school tackle toxic air pollution
Donation protected
Boutcher CoE Primary School in Southwark has received £9,000 from the Mayor's Fund for a "Green Screen" between the playground and Grange Road.
We now need to raise £3,750 for the funding to be released.
Outdoor air pollution from cars and other sources kills four million people every year. Study found children in London are growing up with smaller lungs and asthma due to toxic air pollution.
“Green screens" - planted fences of ivy or bamboo - have been found to have huge benefits in reducing pollution in schools and playgrounds. Other primary schools in South London have seen a decrease in nitrogen levels by 45% since the installation of the "Green Screen".
It's up to all of us now to make the air our children breath better.
