Cleaner Sea Beds For Sri Lanka

Hi,

I'm raising funds for a critical project that has a major environmental and economic impact on the beautiful island of Sri Lanka.

Cleaner Sea Beds For Sri Lanka aims to remove waste from the actual sea beds around Sri Lanka's coast, particularly fishing waste (ghost nets) and plastics. Imagine how hard it is to remove a commercial fishing net tangled around live coral! Please give some thought to how important that is for marine life and the sustainability of fishing around the coast of Sri Lanka.

Funds will be used for a 4 year project to remove sea waste through dives that I will both participate in and help manage through the Sri Lankan charity www.pearlprotectors.org
