Cleaning Beaches ( Our Ocean Matters )

Hi my name is Taren chilia I’m from Vanuatu And from the Biggest Village in Vanuatu which is Mele Village. I grew up with climate change all my life, I grew up facing earthquakes and Tropical cyclones and even floods. Every time after each natural Disaster we found out that all the rubbish has been washed by the rivers or floods down to the beach so working alongside with my cousins we started an (NGO) Our Oceans Matters. We help clean the beaches twice a week and Snorkeling along the Reefs cleaning it from plastics and fishing nets that might destroy our beautiful reefs but this years we got hit by 2 cyclones and Strike of Earthquake within a period of 2 days TC Kevin & TC Judy… so I decided to raise a fund towards all the Young youths back home to get them back on their feet’s and keep fighting for climate change and to get them new uniforms a Ocean matters warriors..
