I am a single working parent and need help to professionally mitigate my home from toxic mold that has been making me sick.
I am a first time homeowner who bought a house “as-is” in desperation to have housing for me and my teen daughter after a divorce.
The house has become a blessing and a place to pick up the pieces and reimagine my future. it’s also become something bigger than I can handle on my own. I’ve never owned a home before- my family always lived in apartments.
I unknowingly bought the house with water damage in the kitchen behind the refrigerator which has turned damages into rot and the home insurance won’t cover the framing repair costs.
Recently, I also found out I have toxic mold growing in my bedroom and bathroom as well! Which is also not covered by my home insurance! The full costs out of pocket for these two areas are actually more around $8,500-9,000. I’m just looking for some help to help me fill the gap.
This is harmful and explains several symptoms and illnesses I’ve been dealing with including cognitive and immune system impacts. I’m reaching out to you for help to pay for professional mold mitigation company to repair the framing in the kitchen, remove the cabinets and tile floor that has been affected in my primary bathroom. I’ll do the labor of putting things back together over time, slowly, but first I need to get this cleaned out! Anything helps.
