Cleaver Squash & Fitness Flood Damage Repair
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Andy and I have owned and run Cleaver Squash & Fitness for over 20 years. We are a family-owned and run squash and gym club based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and have 8 teams competing in both the Warwickshire & Leicestershire Squash & Racketball leagues. On the first week of 2024, we were hit with flooding when the River Anker burst its banks and flooded the squash club. This caused catastrophic damage to our 4 squash courts, along with the changing rooms and viewing areas.
12 years ago, the venue flooded and was covered by insurance. This time, the club was unable to be insured for any future flood damage.
As a small family owned club, the cost of repairing all 4 courts along with the changing rooms and viewing areas far exceeds what we can afford. Therefore we are asking the local community and squash community for help and support at this time.
If you have ever been to Cleaver Squash & Fitness you will know that we are friendly, family orientated club looking to keep the fantastic game of squash and racketball going in our town. We are one of the last squash clubs left in Nuneaton and are a hub for players both young and old along, being key supporters of both the Warwickshire & Leicestershire squash & racketball leagues.
Please, if you are willing and able, consider giving to this campaign to help fund the costs of replacing all 4 squash courts and repairing the damage that has been caused by the flood water.
