Click-4-Crumlin

We need your help!

We're asking you to Click 4 Crumlin and help us buy a PCR machine which will allow the doctors in Crumlin Children's Hospital to quickly identify the presence of the Covid-19 virus in a young patient's body.  This machine will help doctors to identify children who may be sick with the virus and also, importantly,  to find and exclude the virus in children who may need urgent care for other serious illnesses so their treatment can continue.

On Wednesday 27th May, 40 students from Clongowes will each run 6.5km at 11.15am in their own localities - together we will run the Duck Push 260km!

At the start of June for the past 26 years, the Transition Year students in Clongowes Wood College SJ, Clane, Co Kildare have pushed a 3M high duck from Crumlin Children's Hospital to Limerick - a grueling journey of 260kms.  This fundraising initiative is known as 'The Duck Push'.  Over the years, we have raised over €2M for the very sick and vulnerable children in Crumlin.  This year, due to the restrictions imposed on travel, we cannot hit the road with the duck.  

Please help us reach our goal of €50,000 to buy a PCR machine for the wonderful doctors, nurses, staff and most importantly the sick children that are in the care of Crumlin Children's Hospital.

Note:
All donations to this fundraiser will be passed in full to The Children's Medical Research Fund (Charities Registration number: 20042462 | CHY) to purchase a PCR machine for Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin.  This machine will allow the doctors in the hospital to test their young patients for the covid-19 virus.

This fundraiser is administered by Clongowes Wood College SJ as part of the annual Duck Push initiative, which has for 27 years, been raising funds for CMRF.   

All funds raised through this fundraiser will be deposited directly into the CMFR bank account.
