Clifford the Little Red dog

Hello my name is Vanessa and I am posting this for my sister who is trying to help a dog that was hit by a car. It's a sad sad story.

Clifford is a 3 month old male Shar pei pit bull mix puppy who belonged to this elderly disabled veteran in a wheel chair and was taken away after the man beat the dog badly with some crutches for pooping in the house. He was taken from this man and then put in another risky situation with a homeless man squatting in a dwelling with no power or water and unfortunately an accident occurred Oct 18 2022 at around 7am when the dog was playing near a dirt road in Newberry Springs and he was struck by a man in a white car. The dog ran back to the house and slammed into the sliding window thinking it was open and then layed down and wouldn't get up. A good Samaritan that knew the homeless man took the dog to a local vet in Barstow and paid the 300 bill for the x-rays and medications. Tramadol, an antibiotic, and some other pills.

The vet recommended surgery with pins and screws and gave an estimate of 7K to 10K. A lower cost vet is trying to be located and Actors and others for animals organization has been contacted but it is unknown how much if any pledge they will be able to make but they said to try and raise as much as we can so here we are trying to help Clifford the lil red dog who is not having a good start to life! The sooner we can get him this badly needed surgery the better so please help if you can!

Right now Clifford is resting in a pen in my sister's living room while we figure out what to do with him. He is very sweet, timid and quiet. He also has green eyes.
