I am struggling with how to write this. I want to write and tell you about Tammy's life and the fun we had growing up together and how much she loved her family and her children. I want to tell you how very important the Thanksgiving holiday was to her because it was a time we all got to come together to celebrate the love we have for one another (and eat really good food). Instead, I am writing to tell you that I understand how you feel because I feel it too - the overwhelming sense of shock and grief over the way her life was so unfairly taken from her. Wondering how her children will cope with the loss of their mother and if they will ever be 'ok' again. I, like you, want to do whatever I can to help them. If you know our family, you know that accepting money from others is not something we are really comfortable with. But this is for Tammy's kids so if you would like to make a contribution to help make things a little easier on them it would be appreciated. If you are not able to contribute financially, we understand that this is a hard time of year for folks and we still thank you and appreciate your support (whatever form it comes in) as well as your prayers. One thing I have learned from this is not to let 'busy' schedules get in the way of carving out time to spend with those we love.

If any of you know anyone that is in an abusive relationship, please share Tammy's story with them in hopes that their story turns out differently than hers did.
