Climate Streamers: help us start the stream!

Everywhere you go, everywhere you watch. It is right in front of our eyes but still, there is something that doesn’t work. We are constantly bombed with negative news about the world, and it feels like we are running out of time. But what about all the great steps we have already taken? What about those who are desperately trying to change on an everyday basis? What about all those small but important actions that are being forgotten?

When it comes to climate action, we are all involved and concerned on different levels. We all have different opinions, and we often find ourselves divided and polarized: it’s either this or that, it’s either black or white. It is hard to find a place in between, a common ground where everyone feels welcomed, listened and safe. But what if we could change the way the story is being told? What if we could find unity in diversity?

What if ..

We’ve been asking ourselves these questions for a long time and after a lot of hard work and collaboration with many different people, we decided to join the flow of change and start our own movement, our own narrative. Climate Streamers wants to become a movement of listening and sharing, rather than about sending information. We want to be inclusive towards everyone and use a more positive and appreciative approach to inspire people to climate action. We want to be more emphatic and depolarize society.

To do so, we want to use leisure elements and organize projects and events in order to innovate the way we approach people in relation to the climate crisis. We believe that by doing so, we will inspire people on a deeper level and that we will reach a new but important target group. Since January 2021 we’ve worked on the concept and on ideas for possible projects, events and online formats. We developed our vision for the upcoming years, we started our social media presence (Instagram so far ) and now it’s time to turn all of this into reality. To be able to do so, we need some help. This is why, among other things, we decided to start this fundraising in order to cover our first costs:

There is much more that we could add to this, but we feel that for now, this is more than enough. Furthermore, to assure everyone of how the money will be spent, we will publicly share a finance report with you all once we get started.
